BTS Announces Comeback with New Album, Concert and World Tour

BTS reunites for a major comeback with new music and events, marking their return after military obligations.

BTS, the South Korean boy band, is making a full group comeback after a four-year hiatus prompted by mandatory military service. The group, consisting of seven members, will release their new album 'ARIRANG' on March 20, 2026, kicking off their return to the global stage.

Group History and Hiatus

BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, with their single 'No More Dream' and has since become a leading force in K-pop. In 2022, the group announced a pause in full activities to pursue solo projects and fulfill military obligations, with all members completing service by June 2025.

During the hiatus, each member released solo works, including collaborations and individual albums, allowing them to develop personally while maintaining their fanbase. This period of separation ends with confirmed plans for a reunion, including a new album and performances.

The comeback includes a free public concert in Seoul on March 21, 2026, expecting 260,000 attendees. Netflix will stream the event globally, making it accessible to fans worldwide.

Following the concert, BTS plans a major world tour starting April 9, 2026, with over 80 shows. A Netflix documentary titled 'BTS: The Return' will premiere on March 27, 2026, featuring exclusive footage of their military experiences and preparations.

The album 'ARIRANG' features 14 tracks blending traditional Korean elements with modern pop, symbolizing reunification and hope after years apart. Members expressed excitement in personal letters to fans, highlighting their emotional return and gratitude for ongoing support.
